I wanted to put this out there in case someone else was having the same problems as me and thinking it was just how the router was and nothing would fix it.
Problem: When I first went to setup the router I could not even get past the setup wizard. Every time I clicked a button to go next it would stall and I had to refresh. I eventually got past the wizard and into the interface. Same issue there, had to keep hitting stop and refresh all the time. I found out HTTPS made it better but not perfect.
Solution: Per a suggestion from RMerlin that ESET can cause issues with the GUI, I disabled the firewall and scanner. It did seem like this helped but after using it some more there was still issues. So I dug into the advanced settings and found two places where I could "exclude" things from filtering. After adding the settings as shown below I can re-enable evereything else and now the Web GUI acts I would suspect, almost instant when I click links. Oh and it works fine on both HTTP and HTTPS
My other laptop with SOPHOS on it also has this problem but I cannot change the settings on that one (work computer). I suspect a lot of virus scanners are causing an issues from something in the GUI and excluding it seems to have helped quite a bit.
Not 100% sure if this one is doing any good or not
This one I tested without and was having problems. Put it back in again and problems stopped.
