How to opt-out of Trend Micro stuff (after having accepted)?

Hi, I'm not entirely sure where to post this. I'll try here - since I'm using the latest Merlin on my AC-86U.

Back when I set up my router the first time, I enabled QoS. I agreed to a EULA from Trend Micro and didn't think more of it. Then recently I read articles that describe how Trend Micro phones home and doesn't give a damn about my privacy. Ok, my fault for not reading the EULA carefully enough, I accept that. Now, I want to retract my accept.

So I think - initializing the router should do the trick! I do that and then, just to test the waters, I enable QoS again - expecting the EULA accept agreement to pop up. But nope. No pop up this time. Apparently the router saves the accept somewhere, or it's stored on Asus servers somewhere, or worse - it's on Trend Micro's servers and my router is talking to TM directly, to see if the EULA has already been accepted?

So what can I do now? I'm stuck with this router, but I don't want Trend Micro to be part of my life at all, and I want the router to act like it too.

I don’t think you’re supposed to use QoS without it, that’s the point for the EULA.

Right, the whole point is that I don't want to use it, since it reports back to Trend Micro! But I want the router to also be set as if I never accepted the EULA in the first place.

Something is fishy, if the router remembers accept of this - even after being initialized.

It shouldn’t, have you power cycled it after initialize?

I just updated my router to 384.6_alpha2-g5b076fc87, and this was the first time I got to accept the eula for trend micro. Never seen it with 384.5. I've looked into the data collection disclosure and withdrawn and switched off the trend micro software. They gather way too much details to my liking. And it is like indard said, go to the administrators page, on the right there's a privacy tab and you can withdraw the consent of taking all your info.
