New Around Here
Hi!

Planning to finally geting started with my home fileserver. I have 4 SATA drives á 1 TB. Im getting about 3 TB of disk storage with this setup. But what is the best way to partition?

Im planning of using about 500 gb of space for TimeMachine with my mac. Because of what i have understood, tm will use all disk space available (3 tb of backups is overkill). But making a partition of 500 gb, will probably prevent tm of using all disk space?

Is LVM the right way to go?
