ProtonVPN uses local IP address 10.2.0.1 for its WireGuard clients. How do I force ASUS RT-AX86U Pro router's VPN Fusion clients to use such DNS IP? If my guest VLAN subnet gateway is 172.16.0.1/12 and I enable DNS forwarding, then using 172.16.0.1/12 for guest VLAN DNS does not result in DNS being forwarded through WireGuard tunnel. I can use custom DNS on each clients' device on 172.16.0.1/12 VLAN subnet, but VPN providers sometimes route clients through reserved IP ranges accessible only through their VPN and VPN DNS servers in order to unlock services that typically dislike VPN, such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, etc. NordVPN does that kind of routing has specific DNS addresses (103.86.96.100 and 103.86.99.100). ProtonVPN does not use reserved ranges for routing for public IP, but ProtonVPN does not have any kind of non-local DNS server address...

Morning.

You don't provide info about your firmware or model router.

In my case, I solved the issue going to LAN -> DNS Director, and tweaking there my own preferred values.

As you can see in my signature, I'm using Asus Wrt Merlin.

Regards.

ASUS RT-AX86U Pro with stock 3.0.0.6 firmware, but waiting for Merlin's release after recent good news regarding ETA.
