New Around Here
Hoping someone can help here...
Had this HP 7520 running fine on my old router for a long time. Upgraded to the RT-AC68P and put Merlin on it. I don't know if it was anything to do with Merlin or the router itself, but that's when my printer issues started.
I've always had the printer on wireless G and a fixed IP address. But since the router upgrade, I can't regularly connect to it on my home network. I have eprint set up and, if I email it a document, that works fine. I can hit the web interface for the printer and that works fine. But if I just do a run-of-the-mill "print" on my computer, 9 times out of 10 it says it can't communicate. It might eventually work, but if I turn the printer off and then back on, it will connect. Also, if I got to the printer's web interface and print out a network config sheet, *then* it will work from my PC.
Have the same behavior from 4 different computers, all of which printed flawlessly before I switched routers.
I've turned off the auto-off on the printer so I know that's not it. But I'm just clearly stumped. Does anyone have any suggestions? Even on a way to maybe see more detailed logs somehow to see if the router is rejecting the traffic from the computer or the printer is would be helpful.
Thanks in advance!
