New Around Here
Well I have a J9078A and I always been wondering what the Port 2 dual-personality on the right hand side of the switch does? Is it like a built in LACP? b/c I am currently using freenas and I am trying to get more than 100meg/s but it seems that my switch doesn't support LACP.

Anyway of increasing my transfer rate on my NAS without buying a new switch?

From the product description:
each port can be used as either an RJ-45 10/100/1000 port (IEEE 802.3 Type 10Base-T; IEEE 802.3u Type 100Base-TX; IEEE 802.3ab 1000Base-T Gigabit Ethernet) or an open mini-GBIC slot (for use with mini-GBIC transceivers)
None of these options will provide throughput above 1000 Mbps. Port aggregation requires a "smart" or managed switch, which this one isn't.
