HW Acceleration LAN Speed

i always assumed HW acceleration affected everything. but then the other day someone said it only affected traffic which needs to be natted which makes sense. so basically it only affects internet traffic. should i still be able to get 800+mbit on lan with HW acceleration off?

On LAN with both devices being capable; you should get GB (switch) speeds.

dang thats awesome. i did not expect that. i always had this feeling like people would test throughput with HW acceleration of just by going GB lan to GB lan, but i guess thats not a valid test. one must actually have a connection that can surpass throughput of the router in order to test this properly. interesting thx L&LD
