DCS regulations require monitoring of all internet access.

What base model asus router with the Merlin firmware would allow syslog functions of monitoring per device logging of all addresses accessed.

Sorry for the trolling on this in advance, but my findings may result in some more options for fellow foster families.

Web interface:
  • Optionally save traffic stats to disk (USB or JFFS partition)
  • Enhanced traffic monitoring: added monthly, as well as per IP monitoring
  • Hostname field on the DHCP reservation list and Wireless ACL list
  • System info summary page
  • Wifi icon reports the state of both radios
  • Display the Ethernet port states
  • Advanced Wireless client list display, including automated refresh
  • Editable entries (on some pages)

Now the question comes down to, is there a way to write the traffic monitoring to a syslog file on a NAS storage device.
