I'm using an RT-AC88U with Merlin 380.58 firmware and am having a situation where 2 devices are assigned the same IP address and I can't change either one of them. I've manually assigned addresses from 192.168.1.100 through 192.168.1.120 from a pool that runs to 150. When I added my latest device I wanted to assign it .111 which, of course was already taken. I deleted .111 from the list, applied the change, and reassigned .111 to the new device and applied it. Next, I gave the device that originally was at .111 a new address of .130 and applied. Rebooted the router and then the devices and they were both on .111. Looking at the wireless log you can see the .111 address bouncing back an forth between the 2 devices. After spending hours trying to fix this, I reverted to Merlin 380.57 thinking it may be a bug in 58. No luck. Updated to 380.58 again and nothing. Still there. Factory reset time. Twice! Nope, still not right. Set lease time to 5 minutes from 1 day and powered 1 device off.Rebooted router. New device held onto .111. Let lease time expire and powered up second device. Bouncing back and forth again in the log. I'm fresh out of ideas and hope someone can help me. I'm not really proficient at this stuff, but I know just enough to be dangerous. Thanks in advance for any ideas you may have.

Make sure both devices are set to use DHCP, and create two static leases, double checking that you have the right MAC address for each of them.

That did it! They're cell phones. I didn't realize that you could set a static IP in a phone. I must have screwed something up when I tried to move the old one off of .111 and reassign the new one to that address in the router. I really, really appreciate your help! You are the greatest!
