ipad wireless sync issue

Hi,

I have some issue with ipad wireless sync with my imac connecting both to Asus RT-N66U running latest merlin build. ipad air and imac are both running the latest OS. Here is how it's setup:

I configured both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz with different SSID names (mynetwork and mynetwork_5 respectively). So I connected my imac to the mynetwork_5 only and I connected ipad air to the mynetwork only.

When I start iTunes from imac, the ipad wont show up. If I reboot the router, the ipad shows up in iTunes as soon as the router boots up. However If eject the ipad from iTunes and completely close iTunes and then reopen iTunes, the ipad wont show up again... I have to reboot the router again...

So what could be the issue...I went through every single page on the router and I failed to find any related... Please help.
