New Around Here
I have Comcast Ipv6 has been in my area for quite some time. I hadn't made the jump until recently to a new cable modem and router.

Cable modem is a Motorola sb6141 router is Asus RT-AC66U currently running Firmware:3.0.0.4.374.34_2 (Merlin build).

When Ipv6 is turned off everything runs flawlessly we are talking 10+ days no restarts no issues however when ipv6 is on the router not the modem will randomly restart and has done this with stock and merlin builds.

Running native ipv6 with dhcp-pd turned on and I get internet zero issues other then the restarting. Just wondering am I just missing a setting somewhere that needs to be turned on

Asus has been implementing some fixes in relation to IPv6 in the recent AC68U FW updates, those haven't been pushed to the other routers yet. No idea if they would resolve this issue either, but it might.

Comcast has been having issues all day today. It started last night 11-8 through today. 11-9

OK thanks merlin for the response I'll keep periodically trying and I really like your custom firmware very minor tweaks right where they are needed

After having the rt-n66u router for over a year, I finally got IPv6 working. I'm not exactly sure it was me though, maybe the factory reset and Merlin's fantastic firmware was more the cause... ;)

Anyway.. I have Comcast from the Pittsburgh area and I flashed 3.0.0.4.374.34_2 yesterday, and son of a gun, IPv6 showed up full bore.

So, I went to ds.testmyipv6-com and ran the "IPv4 / IPv6 / Dual Stack" tests and got the Green Banner saying:

Excellent!
You are successfully using IPv6 to connect to this server!
Your IPv6 address is 2601: : :...

Finally!

Maybe Comcast is having problems only in certain areas..???

o I have no problem with running Ipv6 and getting connectivity that works. What I have issues with is when ipv6 is enabled my router will restart randomly sometimes 2 times in an hour obviously making it impossible to play a game

I get random restarts with IPv6 on too. AC68U/Comcast. OpenVPN Client 1 was on when it restarted too, and I'm sure it was off prior. Strange.

Im using the N66u with 3.0.0.4.374.34_2sdk5 and no issues with v6, also on Comcast have had v6 for at least the last year. In fact all Merlin builds have worked fine on V6.

I have N66U and Comcast and IPv6 and no problems at all in the San Francisco Bay Area. You must remember the big mess of an entity called Comcast was cobbled together from many smaller systems across the country. So any complaint regarding "Comcast" needs to be elaborated further by specifying where you are.

An excellent place to get advice on Comcast and v6 is on the Comcast forum. Their v6 engineer named Comcast Tuska is very good at responding to issues and questions.
