Would be grateful for some advice. I know LAN is faster than wireless, but when I'm connected with a wire, I get transfer speeds of 40MB/s, whereas I have a surface pro 2 connected on 5GHz and only get 5MB/s and I'm next to the router. From reading a few posts, people here get much faster speeds.
I have firmware 3.0.0.4.376_2524. Most of the settings are on auto with WPA2-personal, except the channel, which is on 165. Using I bought the router in Asia and am currently in UK. I think the channels vary between countries, so is this the problem?
