Is DSL-AC56U supported?

Hello friends, I'm from Romania and I'm going to buy an ASUS DSL-AC56U router... This is the device:

I want to know if it is compatible with the Merlin firmware. Yes, I searched for it in the suported devices list, it is there, but this new version with DSL made me unsure regarding the compatibillity.. Now, I have an Asus RT-AC66U... it works well... with some hickups sometimes, loosing the signal, instant restart without been activated this option... with the legacy branch firmware without possibility to upgrade... I tryied, but without succes... I think AC56U will be better, of course, it is new... and I want to install Transmission on it for my FTP drive attached to it.

different model, no DSL-types has ever been supported by Merlin.
But anyway there is a chance if you could get a DSL-AC68U instead, where a member could make a working Merlin-based firmware for: https://www.snbforums.com/threads/finally-got-merlin-fw-to-work-on-dsl-ac68u.48702/
