Is NTFS or EXT4 faster for Asus storage performance?

Does anyone know? I have mine in EXT4 right now and not quite happy with the results, even though the router (AC87U) is overclocked. Getting ~70MB/s read and 50MB/s write. Only interested in sequential performance as I just move large files to and from the drive. It's a USB 3.0 drive that can do at least 100/100 when attached to a computer.

Are the newer Tuxera drivers in the firmware of any help? I know SmallNetBuilder doesn't test outside of NTFS and FAT32 and my attached drive is too large to move the files elsewhere to test NTFS.

Any help or theories would be appreciated!
