Is there some setting, script or something otherwise, that can be done to set up a way for router itself to automatically turn the WAN off/on &/or auto reboot if there's an issue with the internet status? ie Turned On, but not connected to ISP or similar?
My internet recently went down for about a day but when it came back up, the router doesn't connect automatically despite the internet working. It's not until I manually turn WAN off & back on again that this typically sorts itself out & with sometimes requiring a modem+router reboot. And I find it's a regular enough issue.
I don't want it to check the connection 24/7 but surely seeing how the router knowns when ISP/WAN is down it could;
-do a auto WAN off->On every x-minutes & if that fails, increasing said Off->On to hourly. Failing that, auto reboot. Rinse & repeat.
Router: RT-AC3200.
Sits behind modem in bridge mode.
Any help would be great thanks!
