ISP Locked Firmware

Hi guys,

forgive me i couldnt find a place to post so im posting here.

I have a D-Link dsl-224 vdsl modem and it came with my old ISP, it seems the ISP has replaced the original firmware with one of its own, it refuses to give me admin password to revert firmware and i can only login as a normal user, i cannot change anything neither do any further modifications not even telnet or ssh.

I am asking if there is a way to upload the firmware somehow, resetting the modem will only bring back the preconfigured firmware.

No your ISP like most have full control of the device no way around it.

You could see if there is a firmware recovery tool from dlink..... then figure out to corrupt the firmware or force a reload?
