Ok I recently updated to the 380.68 firmware and am having a strange issue i cant seem to fix.

On LAN 1 I have my 24 port switch that handles most of all my devices on my home network, on LAN 2 I have my main computer hooked up to, then on Lan 3 and 4 I have my WD Mycloud PR4100 devices hooked up to.

I noticed that when i go to the tool/sysinfo page in the router, that on LAN 1 under " last device seen tab" the devices keep cycling through all my devices connected to the 24 port switch every 10 seconds. which i know is not normal.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks!!!

When you say you reset to factory defaults did you manually program the router again or did you import a saved profile? I would encourage a full factory reset and manual config. No importing.

Yea I thought you all might say that........I have the RT-AC68P. I did import the settings but I only did that after I was having these issues and then reflashed the router with new firmware. So ill try that again...........with no import.

Ok so my speed issues were my ISP.........but i am still having an issue with my 24 port switch, in where it keeps cycling through devices in lan port 1........as i described above. Any ideas? Why would it keep jumping around ,,,,,, I can actually see it cycling through the IP / devices on the tool/sysinfo page in the router, on LAN 1 under " last device seen tab"

and i went back and reset it to factoy default and entered all the settings manually this time.

Help?

Tried using another port for the switch?

Why do you think this is not normal? The devices attached to your 24 port switch will be constantly broadcasting their MAC address, so every time the router's Sysinfo page gets updated it will pick up one of those MAC addresses at random.

Perhaps you are confused by the fact that this page now refreshes itself automatically whereas in the past it didn't?

380.68 (19-Aug-2017)
- CHANGED: Reworked Tools -> Sysinfo page, dynamic data will
refresh itself every 3 seconds, also port
ordering will be more consistent, and display based
on the new tableAPI from GPL 382.

This is perfectly normal. This is why the field is called "Last seen device" - if you have multiple devices plugged to the same port, then the router will report the MAC of the last device that sent traffic on that port.

ahhhhh ok TY very much, I was not sure and did not notice this in the past. Mark as SOLVED

Before 380.67, that page was static, so the content didn't change unless you reload the page. Since 380.68, it uses ajax to refresh itself every three seconds.
