I am running two ac3200 routers, both with USB HDDs attached.
One router is my main file share and the other is used to backup the main file store (via rsnapshot and rsync).
The problem I have come across is lan speeds between routers is limited to circa 250Mb/s.
To diagnose I installed iperf on both and I have seen some interesting speeds:
Laptop via cable to both routers separately (adaptive qos on) - 500Mb/s to 600Mb/s
Router to router (adaptive qos on) - 250Mb/s
Router to router (qos off) - 500Mb/s to 600Mb/s
As you can see the qos is causing the drop even though it's entirely Lan based traffic, is this as expected as I would have expected the same performance between routers as laptop and router?
