Leds on an RT-AX86U Pro

Anyone who has an ASUS router may have found that the leds are rather on the bright side.

Since mine is in the main bedroom, I have created something to affix over the leds, reducing their brightness, but also making the ID of each led easier to see.

This is what I have made, using Microsoft Word:

and this is how it looks when on the router:

Personally I just disable the LED's on my RT-AX86U Pro through the GUI. Not sure what Asus (or their manufacturing supplier) were thinking when they used such bright LED's.

Shhh ... The marketing has still not got wind of it ... its a feature ... hold it ... its the built in night light so that you don't stub your toes on the furniture when you wake up in the night to manually reboot the router
;)

I suspected that there must be a reason. Actually, a little light from the dimmed leds on my router is useful if I need to use the toilet in the middle of the night, but even without that, there are quite a leds scattered around my house, including in the bedrooms and on the stairs, so they can be quite useful as night lights.
