Link aggregation on RT-86U

I understand that Asus officially does not support link aggression on RT-86U.
I am wondering is Merlin version does and if so what are the steps to set it up.

GT-AC2900 is support the Link aggregation. They use the same hardware. Maybe you can try to copy the GT-AC2900 binary to the RT-AC86U Merlin firmware.
This will give me the best reason to buy a RT-AC86U.

Link aggregation doesnt work very well as you will see in some other posts where a user telling he got 1.15Gb/s when you can have 1Gb/s with only one LAN connection.

It's not as simple as that. The rest of the code need to be recompiled for that feature, including numerous model-specific closed source components.

no you can't The GT-AC 2900 and the AC 86u have different boot loaders so no you cant do it both also use different firmware

Since with Rmerlin 386 now the codebase is the same, maybe is simplier to exted Link Aggregation to AC86U
I can confirm that the link aggregation script form Wiki is NOT working
