Load old config into newer firmware?

somegeek

New Around Here
I'm curious if I can load my old config into updated firmware without issue? I went ahead and did a factory default and then set up the basic items to get running on this newer firmware. Wanted to save some time by loading the old config with my wireless MAC filter bits but not sure if any of the stuff that loads may cause an issue since it's from a different rev of code?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Of course you will have issues, a lot of them!

BUT: You will also have a lot of fun searching for solutions on problems you created with this idea! :D

It's your choice...

With kind regards
Joe

PS.: Guess why people do a factory reset when the change to a new firmware... More details on factory reset can be found via the search function!
