Hi,

Just experienced a weird problem. It is no longer possible to log in the webgui with user/pass i always use.
With these credentials i can login via telnet though.

This happened once before, and a router reboot AND a reboot of client system ( ipad, phone or windows ultimate7) are both necessary to let things work again.

I really hope I have not again go through the factory defaults cycle al over.
The weirdest thing is: I did not change anything, and I still was able to login a couple hours ago.

( AC66U running 3.0.0.4.374.34, not _2 )

Asus is implementing a brute force attack protection in the web server. However that protection seems to constantly get incorrectly triggered.

That could be the cause. But how long would the webgui in that case not be accessible?
And should i be able to see that trigger in iptables or something like that?

No, it's not implemented at iptables level but inside the httpd itself.

A quick workaround is to change your computer's IP to a different one - that should give you back access.

I haven't had time yet to study that new piece of code to determine if there is a way to disable it.
