Looking for fast, reliable router that is easy to manage

New Around Here
Hello,

I operate a small business and need to upgrade our network equipment- the consumer level stuff we are using now needs reset frequently and gives poor results even when it's up.

I want to separate everything out instead of using integrated components- separate router, switch and wireless access point

If anyone feels up to providing some suggestions, I would appreciate it very much.

An overview of what we do is:

Half retail, half internet sales and shipping.

Our internet service is Brighthouse (RoadRunner) 35/3

I want to get rid of all their equipment except the modem.

Our point of sale is web based (MerchantOS.com) and our credit card processing is integrated to that system.

We have 4 VOIP phones through Access Line Communications, each phone plugs

We have 4 computers wired, and a 2-5 wireless devices depending on who's here.

We have 3 printers, a black and white laser, a konica BizHub color laser and a Zebra label printer that is USB but I want to upgrade to a network version of this printer soon.

Applications that we use frequently are: Web browser for our point of sale, UPS World Ship, FedEx Ship Manager, Stamps.com, TrueShip (soon to be replaced by ShipStation) and Quickbooks web version.

We occasionally use Pandora or other streaming entertainment.

We will be opening a second location next month- all the tasks will be the same as our first location. I would like a "standard" build so support is easy between the two sites.

I don't need VPN, but I am not against buying a VPN router if it gets us nicer equipment-

Price isn't really a factor, but I'd like to try and keep the price under $300 for each component.

For routers, I have been contemplating the TL-ER6120 because everyone here sounds to be having good luck with it.

I guess we'll start with a router decision and go from there.

The shop is getting busy so I've gotta go tend to customers.

Thanks to anyone for any input.

I run my ER6120 router at home with Untangle behind it. They make a good pair and do what you need at home. The router will handle your bandwidth and users without a problem. I have never tested phones or QOS but it should work as well as any low priced router.

ZyWall USG 50 VS ER6120

I've not started to consider the ZyWall USG 50

It loos like more people around here are using the ER6120

Any USG 50 users, and / or comments on them vs each other?
