Currently running 3x Deco x3600 mesh routers, they are super stable and provide plenty of throughout but I really want to be able to manage my guest wifi network on a schedule. The point of this is to have easy and separate control of my kids devices (I have 100s of mac addresses and it's a huge pita to figure out what is what that way).
The ax86U pro seems like a recommended router that has this feature but I'm concerned about dropping down from a three channel to a two channel system in a mesh configuration. I would rather avoid DD-WRT or the like, any ideas on what to try? At least one of my mesh APs will have to have wireless backhaul. People have suggested Ubiquity products but certainly a step up in cost. Any other models/considerations I should be thinking about?
