My wireless clients all lost access to the internet with firmware 380.68_2. Everything up until that point was working fine (I have been using 380.68_2 since it was released on my ASUS RT-AC68U) and then wireless internet access was suddenly no longer possible. The wireless network was functioning properly and wireless devices could connect to the router but nevertheless had no access to the internet.
I tried to factory reset, reverted back to a prior version of Merlin firmware and everything else I could think of with no success. Nearly ready to toss the router in the trash, I tried the current ASUS factory firmware 3.0.0.4.380_7743 and everything now works.
What could have happened with my router using the Merlin firmware as no settings were changed and the router suddenly stopped working properly? I'd like to go back to the Merlin firmware but am uncertain as to what to do as having no wireless internet access was painful.
