Hi,

It does not happen with my router exactly, but several times I have upgraded to the new generation of asus wrt merlin (384.xx) the connection speed is really low, having contracted 600MB / s symmetrical, it returns me values of 50MB / s of download and 7-10MB / s upload. The strange thing is that with the previous generation (380.70) it did not happen to me, I have activated the Acceleration of NAT and descativado the QoS and the IP Traffic.
When I restart the router, at the start of the boot if it gives me higher values (500Mb / s) but as soon as 2 or 3 minutes pass after the start, the same thing happens again.
It's kind of strange, I do not know if it's a problem with the revision of the asus wrt merlin, my router's problem or the configuration ...

Thanks in advance. A greeting.

Hi Esteban,

When you updated from 380 to 384, did you reset to factory defaults and input all your settings manually? If you haven’t, this could be the issue. Do not restore your backup. Start fresh.

Hi scjr, thanks for your reply

I have also tried to enter the command mtd-erase2 nvram and configuring all the new manual of form, it will not happen, because sometimes when I do the speed test of 30-40 ms and other low 8-5ms, but the speed of upload it does not exceed 6-7MB / s, with 600MB / s contracted, this can not be the problem.

I’m unsure why you would be having this issue. Are you using 5Ghz? You could try turning off Univeral Beamforming, under Wireless/Professional settings.

Yes, I am using the 5GHz network, also, since you mention it, another thing that happens to me and refers to this since I act, is that the devices that connect in the 5GHz network does not appear in the list of devices in the map of the network, I thought that this is a firmware failure. I desactivate Implicit Beamforming and Explicit Beamforming both 2,4GHz and 5GHz and speed problem persist.
