Mains power adapter

The rules are simple: Be patient, be nice, be helpful or be gone!

The simplest and certainly cheapest solution is to buy a short 110V extension cord and plug the adapter and wall wart into the extension cord and use electrical tape or zip ties to hold the pieces together.

Since the adapter and wall wart will be resting on the floor their combined weight and leverage won't be pulling the plug out of the wall.

Avoid using to much tape so the wall wart doesn't overheat. Depending on how hot the wall wart gets you may want to a ceramic coaster or a metal can lid under the adapter if it is on carpet and you are concerned about melting the carpet. It can happen particularly if the adapter fails and overheats.

Contact asus. Their customer support is awesome. Might even send you one if you tell them what happened.
