Merlin bandwidth limiter over-limiting: GT-AX11000-Pro with Merlin 3004.388.8_4

I have 1.2G-down/40M-up Xfinity service with a GT-AX11000-Pro router with Merlin 3004.388.8_4. I know that at those speeds Cake will overload the cpu. Hence I’m using the QoS bandwidth limiter.

I have my machine on Ethernet connected directly to the router. The bandwidth limit is set to 1000/35.

Yet I’m getting consistently around 370/34. Why?
If I disable QoS I get full speed. I’ve tried different Ethernet cables and different Ethernet-USB adapters (my MacBook Pro doesn’t have an Ethernet port) and different USB-C ports.

Bandwidth limiter, traditional QoS, and CAKE all require HW acceleration to be disabled to be effective. That’s why your rates suffer.

It is shut off when those QoS types are enabled. Only Adaptive QoS works while HW acceleration is active.
