Try using channel 11. Microwave frequency has greatest impact on lower channels.
if you put you're mobile in the microwave oven with the door shut (without turning the oven on) an calls it from another phone and the mobile rings then get another microwave as the one you have isn't working properly
I must say, that's a creative way to see how much radio waves are leaking through your microwave.
I bet you have a Panasonic Inverter microwave? They are much harder on wifi than a traditional microwave. I know you cannot move either but can you buy a new microwave?
edit: this is because they pulse much faster (1000s of Hz instead of 60 Hz), so fast there is not enough space between the pulses for the wifi to operate.
