New Around Here
Ok, so I'm new with ASUS as a router and even more with Merlin.
I got my RT-AC88U yesterday from UK (I live in Argentina) and this morning I installed the Merlin firmware.

So long story short, I notice that some of the 5ghz channels were missing. All channels above 136.
Doing some research (with my phone at 3am), I notice the message "Reminder: the system time zone is different from your locale setting". I only got this message with my phone, not with my computer.
I wasn't able to find a "locale setting" on the configuration. But I was able to find it while doing ssh to the router.

Code:
admin@Pepe:/tmp/home/root# wl country
DE (E0/962) GERMANY

I change it to Argentina. But when I restarted the router, the configuration came back to the default Germany code.

As far as I understand the missing channels are related with the locale option. Because for some part of EU some channels are restricted.

My question would be, if there is any way to change the locale setting for good?

In all EU countries ch. 149+ are forbidden. Asus doesnt even allow all possible channels for EU on all routers, depending on firmware and revision.
In EU 36-64 and 100-140(144) are allowed, maybe more in future.
