New Around Here
Hey all:

I just recently moved into a new home, one that's pretty large and has a lot of stone inside. I've found that running one wireless router (on Comcast) just doesn't suffice. I've spent a lot of time reading through the SNB forums, along with Tim's reviews and How-to's (thanks Tim!), and have come to the conclusion that a MoCa setup may be exactly what I need.

My question is, is it possible to have a MoCa setup running two wireless routers (presumably the second one would be run with it's DHCP disabled)? It would look something like this:

Main Level: Coax Input ---> MoCa Unit 1 ---> Cable Modem ---> Wireless Router 1

Basement: Coax Input 2 ---> Moca Unit 2 ---> Wireless Router 2 (DHCP Disabled)

Would this work? If the Coax Input in the basement I connect to is currently being used to connect to a tv and its STB, from my understanding that still wouldn't be an issue, correct? If it is, I could simply use a splitter or a different coax outlet? I've been looking at the Netgear MCAB1001 if that makes a difference.

Thanks again for any help you guys can give

Yes, seems it should. The second router is re-purposed as a WiFi access point, by disabling DHCP, not using the WAN port, configuring the SSID and encryption, channel. There's a FAQ here on this.

The MoCA units I've seen/used have a coax pass-though, so no splitter is needed.
