MoCA with DSL?

SilverBlade

New Around Here
Right now, I'm getting internet through my local cable company. My dad may want to switch from Cable internet to DSL.

Problem is: I'm already using MoCA adapters to get internet access to other places in the condo.

Do I *need* Cable TV/internet to use MoCA, or can MoCA be used without a cable TV/cable internet subscription?

It will continue to work.

You will just have to plug a LAN connection from the DSL modem into the MOCA adapter that is now connected to the cable modem.

If your current Internet provider is Verizon/Fios you may have to purchase an additional MOCA adapter as Verizon's current Modem/router has MOCA built in.

I'm in Canada, so I'm not on Verizon Fios, I'm on Shaw

MoCA is just a replacement for cat5 cable. Cares not about what kind of ISP you use. Is independent of TV signals.
