Multiple instances of dhcpc-event, dnsmasq.postconf when using Native IPV6 mode. Merl

When in Native IPV6 mode, it appears that udhcpc and odhcpc each result in unique and near-simultaneous instances of the dhcpc-event and dnsmasq.postconf scripts. I have wondered if this may have been responsible for lock-ups when I have attempted to transition between Native IPV6 and and tunnel modes, as well as doing simple things like changing IPV6 DNS addresses.

TWCs Native IPV6 still won't work for me, but with the following caveats:

1. I do get WAN ISP did not work correctly errors in spite of CAT5e or 6 cables to the modem.
2. No IPV6 DNS assignment is ever made from TWC.
3. Merely putting in DNS assignments work flawlessly, but only for a few hours, after which DNS errors of all kinds show up.

6in4 tunnels mostly work fine with only minor errors being noted.

In theory this shouldn't be a problem, as the router internally uses a queue mechanism to trigger events (that's the rc_notify events you see in Syslog).

One problem I am running into with this is that there are occasions when at least two copies of dnsmasq are running, and you see both getting killed off. In that case you have dueling dhcp servers. This is intermittent.

Also, I worry that the my scripts could be deadlocking each other as they attempt to do edits on the hosts file, or any other file for that matter. I think that may be responsible for the lockup a when doing even simple changes (e.g. IPv6 DNS server changes on the web interface). It makes the change, but I'm locked out until I power cycle the router.

Currently, I'm setting a pid file with $$ in my scripts, and exiting the new script instance if one is already running. It's not perfect as there are time when multiple script intances are noted. This is less of a problem for the tunnel compared to native mode, perhaps because they're running on different interfaces (tunnel interface with br0, vs br0 with IPv4 and IPv6 addresses).
