multiple USB Disks

Hi Guys,

I just added a USB switch to the ASUS AC56U and the disk and 3G Modem are working fine. But I have one small question.....

How the Firmware is mounting the disks ? The first which comes get the /mnt/sdb1 or is there a scheme ? After each reboot its using different mount points for the disks, so it makes staff difficult specially when using some easy script which use the mount point in it (rsync for example).

Clarification would be really appreciated :-)

I don't know but I'd guess that is might vary depending on the socket and how quickly the device responds. I think you can avoid the whole issue by giving your disks a volume label. It would then be mounted as

/mnt/MYVOLUME1

rather than

/mnt/sda1

well well.... didn't even think about this.... cool will try this now and hope this will solve this disk chaos :-) Good that I still don't have data on them :-)
