New Gig 16-port Smart Switch from NETGEAR is on it's way to replace the two 16-port Gig and Meg Un-managed ones from TRENDNET.

PROSAFE 16-PORT GIGABIT SMART SWITCH
GS716T-200

Update
Having issues with the GS716T-200N port selection buggy along with firmware and hardware. Replacing that with a TP-LINK JetStream™ 16-Port Gigabit L2 Managed Switch with 2 Combo SFP Slots TL-SG3216

tie down the wires for a neater look!

Well yeah, I didn't do that because I was still adding to it.. New Smart Switch as arrived! :D

The TL-SG3216 had just arrived here FedEx.. Heavy switch though.. TP-LINK does give you a lot for your money. NETGEAR PRO SERIES version wasn't like this.

Notice: I don't have wire management in place so wires will be like this until I have everything set.. The switch is faster the NETGEAR PRO SERIES it replaced. Easier to setup too. More information in this one I know it's Managed L2 compared to the GS716T-200 which was Smart Switch.

Tl-er6120

Update as of 8.2.2012

I had some serious issues with the TP-LINK TL-ER5120 like packet loss and managed ports would not change configurations no matter what I did. I had sent back the TL-ER5120 and replaced it with the TP-LINK SafeStream™ Gigabit Dual-WAN VPN Router TL-ER6120 on top and the TP-LINK JetStream™ 16-Port Gigabit L2 Managed Switch TL-SG3216 on the bottom.

Also had some issues using CISCO EA4500 as WAP (WNAP) started to get drops in connection and loss of connections along with packet loss. That was replace by the EnGenius Xtra/Super Range Dual-Band High-Powered Wireless-N AP Gigabit Router ESR600H top view used as wireless super range 100mW (20dBm) access point. This is 4X ANT Design, 2x SMA ANT External 5dBi and another pair internal. Gig ports and it has NAT Turbine features but that's only available as a full router.

So far throughput speed on the TL-ER6120 seems a bit faster. I'll have to contact TP-LINK engineers to see what's in one. There is no reference to what's inside except for the memory and buffering. The ESR600H is really quick though on the WiFi side even on 802.11g in a mix mode. Time will tell on that one when I run it through the paces here.

Ubee D3-Modem with 1000m enabled.
ZyXEL NSA325 Added 2x TB WD Blue HDD (set to 1000m + Flow Control Enabled + 9K Jumbo Frames)
DELL 1250c Laser Printer added to the NSA325 Print Server feature.
Also shown prior AMD Phe/Black Edition 2.5GHz X4 x64 with 8GB DDR2. Systems one is The old File Server. Still powerful download server still.. Next to it matching Media Server replaced by NSA325 Media Server features.

I'll do a review on the ZyXEL NSA325 under NAS thread here on SNB.

Updated 10.8.12

Started working 2x critical areas of my house. Networking and HDTV distributions with Networking.

So first off is what I now using to mount network gear into a mini portable metal rack system.
Shown in the photos, it also comes with a stabilizer bar on top (box read as a bonus) okay!
There is also another one now shown on the bottom.
24x rack mounted screws

Short view

Now do know that wire management will be sloppy until I cut into the drywall behind the setup to run the LAN cables and RG6 Coax through. Each drop will have it's own dedicated line. I am also introducing Network HomeRunHD device.

So this is work in progress. I'll post the setup outside the house too. This house is built with masonry cement blocks so not much I can do in the wall.

So in the pictures is:

UBEE D3 Cable Modem
ESR-600H AP
NSA-325 NAS Media Server
Rack Mounted Heavy Metal Shelf
High Power Pro 9x AC Switch with 15A each port. Suppose to be full power mangement and no loss of full power
TL-ER6120 Dual WAN Gigabit Managed Switch Router
TL-SG3216 Gigabit Managed L2 Switch
DX4200-09 Modified

Still need another Rack Mounted Heavy Metal Shelf to hold up the DX4200-09 or 1250c (network through NSA-325 Print Server)
