New Around Here
Hi guys

Just had my 1gbps fibre connection installed today.
Got a free n56u router with the subscription and was playing around with it.
Connected to the 5ghz wifi using my xperia z ultra and ran a speediest.
Noticed that download rates were only at 100mbps.
Is this correct as the box says 300mbps wifi n speeds.

Yes, this router is fairly old with entry level components.

It seems even so, you are getting better performance than what is expected. :)

To do your connection justice you need a modern router.

An RT-AC68U or RT-AC68P (faster processor) or the current best hardware, but possibly most buggy solution if you use it for more than just wireless routing; the RT-AC87U.
