Hi,

I've only had my DK a week and have not yet flashed it from the original .260 firmware. I was waiting to get the courage to flash the latest Merlin beta.

I configured the router on 2.4GHz to use channel 11 at 40MHz bandwidth. This worked fine until I had to re-boot to install a new modem. When it powered up it decided to use channel 1 at 20MHz bandwidth - wonderful. Don't quite understand why it should do this as otherwise what is the point of having user settings?

It may be that a neighbour has a strong signal on ch6 from time to time will this therefore stop the DK from ever booting into 40MHz mode as the middle channel has to be used for this mode?

Is this the way it is or is it fixable?

Thanks.

Bob.

Hi,

If I remember correctly I had a similare problem with the original firmware - I went instantly to the latest Merlin and then things were fixed.

Flash the latest Merlin Beta firware - you will be suprised... :)
I did it after some days waiting for reports on it's quality: Nothing negavite to report! See my signature below...

Do not forget to reset to default after flashing (best via holding down the WPS button and powering on) to benefit from the new default settings!

With kind regards
Joe
