NAS for small business

New Around Here
Hi I am looking to purchase a NAS for my family business. We are a picture framing / art printing company. So we have a ton of image files that everyone in the office needs access to. Currently I have an external harddrive (backed up weekly) connected to our router but the performance on that is very slow and not suitable for our needs. I was looking for a 2-bay solution with good enough performance and a good back up solution to fit our needs. I personally narrowed it down to these 3 solutions, I'm not sure if they are the best or what I need so any advice would be helpful

You need just basic file sharing and any of the products you indicated will work fine, as will many others.

Why are you looking at two-bay devices and what are your current storage needs and what is the growth rate?

Very smart questions, I was going through the same decision myself not long ago. Went with the biggest I could afford and glad I did.

Thanks for the response,

I was looking at two-bay devices because their price point is more in my budget while at the same time being enough for what I want to do. (I think)

We have about a terabyte of files we use constantly, the growth is pretty slow. Mainly I am looking for better performance and a easier backup solution then what I am currently doing.

With only a terabyte of files and 4TB drives, a single-drive device would do just fine. Get two (the second can be lower performance) and you can have automatic backups and put the two devices in physically separate places.

Take a look at the WD MyBook Live. Good price, performance and features, plus easy remote access. Look at the MyBook Live Duo review for an accurate look at the current feature set. The single-bay review is old.
