New Around Here
I have aquire a LAcie 2big Network. Make the change to RAID 1, all network configurations and add the NAS to the network domain, that as the AD=Acive Directory.
The problem is that, when they say to add users or groups from the AD, in the shares page, they are not there.
The search does not see the AD, i think.
If i explore the network, the NAS, is in the AD, so my question is:
privilegies?, network definitions? what can be wrong?

Thank you
JP

I've never used this device, but most you can base groups on OU's in AD. Once the connection is set, you can then dial it down that way, assigning group permissions that way.

Something like "DC=domain,DC=com,OU=Users,OU=Staff"

So this would Appear like this in AD:

domain.com\Users\Staff

(In Windows terms, OU is a kind of folder that AD accounts reside in)

This is how our Bigfoot NAS used LDAP group permissions, so it may or may not be part of what you're looking for..
