New Around Here
Hi! I am interested in organizing my pile of hard disk drives and data.
So the question is commercial NAS or build my own? It's easier to get a commercial NAS, but I'm contemplating just getting a few off the shelf components and putting together one.
Some of the issues I'm facing:
-I have a large number of differing HDD
-I intend to use for primarily file sharing, downloading, and watching movies.
-I have computers from the entire spectrum of operating systems.
Is there a reasonably priced NAS that is flexible enough or would it be better to build my own?
