NAT loopback intermittent on 374.39

New Around Here
Hi! I upgraded my RT-N66U to the Merlin firmware v374.39 the other day. This is the first time I'm using Merlin's firmware, so one of the very first things I tried was NAT loopback, and it worked.

Today, all of a sudden, it's broken. Can access my desktop's services from a remote machine on the WAN IP, but not locally (except via localhost/LAN IP of course).

After trying a bunch of things, the one thing that helped was rebooting the router. NAT loopback works again.

Before the Merlin upgrade, I've been running RT-N66U for several months and had zero problems with NAT loopback.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does the Merlin firmware still require its own NAT loopback fix, seeing as the latest ASUS firmware has working NAT loopback of its own?

P.S. Loving the per-IP and monthly traffic features!

I can't recall right now if HW acceleration should be on or off to enable NAT loopback.

Whichever setting is currently showing for you; try the opposite and see if it fixes it.

Don't just enable/disable the feature itself: go to the Tools menu and verify that HW acceleration is enabled or disabled before you start changing this randomly.
