NAT not working at all

I have quite a bit of experience with networking but I cannot solve this one. I have port forwarding properly set up but none of it works. Is there a firewall setting that needs to be set or something else that may be blocking my port forwarding?

Much thanks!

Just make sure you didn't disable the router firewall or NAT, and you'd be fine. Typical issues are your modem might be firewalling, you might be trying to forward a port your ISP is blocking (many block port 25 for example), you misconfigured the forward, the firewall on the target device rejects connections from outside your LAN, or the way you are testing the port forward is flawed (for example, there must be a listening service answering to the forwarded port).

Thank you for the reply. Ok, so I had the firewall disabled and turned it back on but no good. The NAT is enabled.

The modem I have is in bridge mode and everything on previous routers forwarded just fine so this one gets me just a bit; however, I love a challenge.

My only difference between working and not working is the firmware I have installed so there must be a simple switch I am missing. Any ideas?

None, beside the two options I mentionned (NAT and Firewall).

Check the Forwarded port tab under System Log to ensure your port forward is properly configured.

Nothing I did seem to make a difference and the log looked great.

I loaded the latest non-beta firmware and everything is going now.

Thanks for your help. I wonder what the hiccup was.
