Netgear Email on Firmware Update with Security Fixes for R7000

Hi,

I received this email from Netgear regarding a firmware update. But there is no firmware update available on their site, unless they're referring to a previous release that they are only emailing out about at this time.

Anybody know anything?

The 1.0.8.34 (North America Only) release notes don't mention “Fixes for security issues”, which is mentioned in the 1.0.7.12 release notes.

I will confirm and provide an update...

1.0.8.34 (North America Only) version was released to include router analytics and as it's a newer release, it includes all required security fixes from 1.0.7.12.

Was there any explanation from Netgear about why they're emailing their customers so late in the game about security fixes in the release before the current one? Seems like if they're going to do this, they should be more timely about it. I'm happy to have security fixes pointed out to me, but maybe closer to when they actually come out would be better for the customer?
