I've bought a GS608 Gigabit switch today and plugged it in to my Netgear DGN2000 router which is acting as a DHCP server. However, I can't get IP connectivity for any machines connected to the switch.
Unless I give them a static IP address, they can't get any connectivity whatsoever. Giving them a static IP at least lets me get their connection up, but I can't ping anything else on the subnet.
Has anyone else got a similar setup who could comment please? As the switch is dumb, I can't do any testing from that side of things and can't see any obvious settings on the router that I'm missing.
Thanks,
Mike.
