So.... Supermicro for everyone then?

I'm continually surprised how many companies simply slap a sticker on Supermicro's products and call them their own. To be fair, Supermicro is a white box supplier, meaning they cater to such a crowd. But still, I find it amusing. It will be interesting to see what, if any, VAR perks Netgear is offering up vs. purchasing the system straight from Supermicro.

Some time back, I owned a re-branded NAS sold by but not supported by Netgear. That Netgear would do that to its customers told me who to blacklist.

must have been a stora. that would be the only thing that would fit the description. and that thing as nothing to do with the readynas/readydata family of products :)
