Tim told me he might do it if he has time eventually. i have also asked him for this to be done for the rt-ac66u. if he does it. im sure he wouldnt have a problem with doing it with an r7000 aswell if it were possible.

especially for asus products it would be very cool to see

Gentlemen. If I do this, the article would focus on wired and wireless performance testing. I also might use CD router to run a functional test screening like I did for Does Alternative Firmware Break Your Router?

As a side-note, I loved the CDRouter test results that you posted in that article. This is the kind of information that is too often overlooked when reviewing routers, where many customers mostly seem to be interested in large numbers specific to wifi.

Exactly.

LAN and WLAN speed tests, stability and range is what i see many people are interested in. More options and flexibility is another big reason people steer away from stock firmwares.
