Targeting industries like audiovisual, the 12 slotted M4300-96X is built for no-compromise 4K workloads, particularly where Software-Defined Video over Ethernet (SDVoE) is used.
Priced around $100 per port (for the 96-port 10G SFP+ version), M4300-96X soft-features include IGMP Snooping, IGMP Fast Leave and IGMP Querier enabled for VLAN 1; advanced Layer 2, Layer 3 and Layer 4 feature sets; Zero Touch AV-over-IP with pre-configured L2 Multicast; and a web-based admin GUI.
Other M4300-96X hardware related features and specs include 1.92 Tbps non-blocking traffic for 96x10Gbps, 24x40G, or a combination of two technologies; PoE+ (30W each port) over 10G supported in the first six slots; slots for two redundant power supplies; front-to-back hot/cold aisle cooling design; 1G OOB, RJ45 RS232 and Mini-USB console management; and a USB port for storing logs, configs, and image files.
Starting at $9600 for the fully populated 96-port 10G SFP+ version, the NETGEAR M4300-96X will be available worldwide in April 2018. Though pricing wasn’t available for all configurations, the M4300-96X will also be available as 48-port SFP+ starter kit with a 600W power supply, and as an empty version (XSM4396K0).
