Network Share Inaccessible by Name

I have an Asus RT-AC68u running Merlin version 380.62_1. At some point in the last couple of months my network share has become inaccessible by name from my Windows 10 computer. It worked at one point but I can't honestly say I know when or what's changed.

To clarify, when I open "Network" on my computer I see the drive that is connected to my router but when I attempt to access it I get an error indicating that it cannot be found. I can access it by its IP address however which leads me to believe that this is a DNS issue. But the router is the DNS server on my home network.

Can you guys point me in the right direction to getting this working. I know it's something simple but I just can't get it.

Thanks,

MJ

Something might have changed with the PC rather than the router (what with Microsoft pushing out automatic updates). Can you access the share from another PC?

I can access it by its IP address however
Do you mean the contents of the shared drive or the router itself?

Check the settings at USB Application > Network Place(Samba) Share

ColinTaylor, thanks for the help, you got me thinking. I fired up another computer (I really only use my Windows 10 desktop) and attempted to access the hard drive I have connected to my router. I accessed it without issue. So I decided to ping the drive and my desktop. The drive replied but my Windows 10 desktop didn't.

I fixed my problem by removing the second IP address I set on my Windows 10 computer a couple of months ago when I was working on something that I pulled off another network. Everything is good again. Thanks!
