Hi all,
I've had random on and off 'DNS server isn't responding' problems in my Windows machine for a few months now, (ever since I upgraded my broadband to fibre-optic) but things got so bad lately that I decided to wipe the drive and perform a clean install of Windows, with the hope of fixing the issue. No such luck!
I have two connections, wired (homeplugs) from the motherboards LAN, and a wireless PCI-e WIFI. I get the following error on both connections:
"the connection between your access point, router, or cable modem and the internet is broken".
Which cannot be the case, as I have a TV and PS4 working fine over homeplugs, and a Macbook and 2 mobile phones connected fine over WiFi.
This is a clean install of windows, the only thing I've done is install the driver for the wireless card.
The router is an Asus RT-n56u and the motherboard is a Gigabyte X38-DS5. The modem is a BT Openreach.
I also cannot connect in Safe Mode.
Any ideas?
