Are there no new Powerline products on the horizon? This http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/othe...v2-1200-powerline-wireless-access-point-combo is the first powerline product I've seen on SNB in ages, and the only new part is the wireless.

The #1 product on the Powerline Ranker was reviewed in September 2015 -- more than 15 months ago. http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/tools/rankers/powerline/view

Has the technology topped out? Is there nowhere else to go? I've been waiting for faster adapters -- or an announcement at CES -- and there's nothing.

Is there any use waiting for new products or is this it?

HomePlug AV2 MIMO is top of HomePlug at this point. More G.hn products are coming out, but nothing faster than HomePlug AV2 MIMO.

There's always MoCA 2.5, but nothing for retail market.

There were some G.hn products announced as certified at CES but it's not clear whether these use the existing standard or some new version.
